22nd September 2014 – Trustmarque announces that it has been awarded a place on a Framework to provide IT specialist services under a new NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) framework agreement on Lot 1 for General IT Specialist Services.

All NHS organisations in Scotland can now purchase IT consultancy services through the framework following mini tender to assist in the development of Information and Communication strategies, as well as IT infrastructure services, IT architecture and design expertise, and IT programme and project management.

Mark Garrity, Head of UK Public Sector for Trustmarque, comments: “This framework is significant as it represents the continuation of the long standing partnership between Trustmarque and NHS Scotland. Since 2012 we have managed the NHS software and services framework and delivered a number of service programmes into individual Boards. This new contract will enable Trustmarque to extend our reach and help support all the NHS Boards with specialist IT services that are designed to drive down costs, improve efficiencies and to manage the delivery of complex IT projects and programmes”.

The award of a place on the Framework also cements the long standing relationship between Trustmarque and the public sector, complementing the existing significant footprint that the company has within the NHS in England and Wales.

George Futcher, Senior Business & Procurement Advisor at NHS National Services Scotland, comments:

“Trustmarque has been a long-standing partner who have consistently delivered value for the NHS Boards in Scotland for a number of years. This new framework will enable NHS Scotland to pursue its programme of improved management and controls based on the eHealth strategy and enable Boards to deliver new programmes of work through specialist services. I look forward to working with Trustmarque and developing the relationship further as they continue to deliver software and IT services to support the Boards.”

Mark Garrity concludes: “Trustmarque’s heritage in assisting NHS organisations to meet their individual objectives is unsurpassed – our understanding of the specific needs of the NHS coupled with a proven track record in delivering consistent value, expertise and service, were pivotal factors in our success.”
