Job summary

The Learning and Development Advisor is a newly created position and will be a key partnership role to support senior and operational colleagues determine where learning interventions or performance support is required. This person will support the delivery of all learning, performance, and development activity in Trustmarque, alongside driving our ambition to become a more socially responsible business.


  • Build trusted relationships with Trustmarque colleagues and partner with members of the senior leadership team to identify, determine, and deliver solutions that support the development of our colleagues
  • Leverage sound learning and development knowledge to support the business agenda and strategy
  • Elevate Trustmarque’s approach to corporate and social responsibility: deliver against our responsible business strategy by putting colleague and end-user skills, equity, and wellbeing at the heart of all we do
  • Work collaboratively with our customers to deliver online learning interventions to NEET and other disadvantaged community groups
  • Actively promote and manage Trustmarque apprenticeships programmes to attract emerging talent and increase internal development and upskilling opportunities
  • Drive the annual performance management cycle across the business, hosting online workshops, drafting guidance material, and running reports to ensure a meaningful process
  • Iterate existing learning and development materials and design new content that meets learning objectives
  • Support our annual engagement and wellbeing survey cycles; launch surveys, facilitating employee forums, analyse quantitative and qualitative data, present insights, make recommendations for change and continuously communicate track and communicate progress and lessons learned
  • Join our ‘Work and Wellbeing’ team to ensure colleagues receive adequate levels of mental and social wellbeing guidance and support


  • Someone who is friendly, collaborative, and can build trusting relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • A strong understanding in learning and development design and delivery
  • Sound project management/ prioritisation skills
  • Confident in both written and spoken communication with the ability to present to (primarily online) audiences
  • Sound understanding of the apprenticeship levy and apprenticeship programmes
  • An interest in corporate and social responsibility. Experience in CSR, diversity and inclusion or employee wellbeing isn’t essential as this can all be taught to someone with a genuine interest
  • A level 3 CIPD in Learning and Development, or equivalent professional experience. Enrolment to a CIPD course and/or wider professional development will be offered
