Job summary

You will join Trustmarque’s Cloud Centre of Excellence and carry out presales and post sales consultancy – and where occasionally required hands on delivery – and use your technical expertise to help customers migrate, adopt and innovate using cloud services, ensuring outcomes meet the highest technical and agile standards.

Accountabilities and main responsibilities

  • We expect our consultants to understand the client’s project aims and to offer professional and commercial insight to ensure client satisfaction in addition to technical detail.
  • We expect our consultants to be very self-sufficient when engaged in smaller assignments representing the company by themselves, always ensuring customer satisfaction through high quality work and outstanding client care.
  • We expect our consultants to be able to work as part of larger multi-skilled presales and delivery teams on more complex engagements, either leading or supporting those teams as appropriate. Good communication, collaboration and team-working skills are essential.
  • You will act as the SME on Public Cloud and related technologies for customers and sales teams. Strong experience in a multi-disciplined team is critical as is your ability to clearly communicate complex technology solutions to less specialist stakeholders.
  • You will be responsible for defining designs, tasks, scope and effort from customer engagements by way of proposals, presentations and statements of work.
  • You will be responsible to produce technical presales and post sales documents and other technical project related artefacts.
  • You will be involved in the qualification and bid process for new opportunities providing relevant technical input into the process.
  • You will work with sales teams within Trustmarque to uncover key opportunities and engage key customers to uncover and qualify cloud opportunities
  • You will have a full understanding of the concepts of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well Architected Framework, and will be able to carry out customer workshops based on these concepts.



  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT consulting or engineering including at least 2 years’ supporting cloud-based infrastructure and / or applications
  • An in depth understanding of Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud solutions and experienced in integrating public cloud into traditional architecture models with a specific focus on Azure (skills in AWS also desirable)
  • Extensive experience in conducting Cloud Readiness / Migration / Planning Assessments observing, recording and integrating business and technical requirements into the assessments
  • Experience in evaluating existing data centre and digital / application strategies
  • Experience in conducting cloud service roadmaps, TCO analyses, security considerations as part of a wider Cloud Adoption Framework
  • Knowledge of the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework(s), Infrastructure-as-Code, Azure DevOps and deployment of infrastructure via Azure DevOps and associated methodology.


  • Demonstrable experience in architecting large scale cloud migration projects/programmes
  • Demonstrate the ability to solve complex, multi-system problems
  • Extensive experience in architecting enterprise public cloud solutions
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness while generating Statements of Work and programme roadmaps.

Desired Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Architect – Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Associate

 Other Requirements:

  • Have experience of stakeholder management within complex organisations
  • Be willing to work in multiple locations and prepared to travel up to 50%
  • Be a fast learner, ambitions, and comfortable working in high-pressure environments
  • Exhibit a proven track record of continually looking for ways to improve customer satisfaction
  • Consultative approach. You will be client facing and will need to be able to convey complex themes and ideas in clear and concise language
  • Assist and lead in the pre-sales / bid process for opportunities

Ideally you will be an experienced cloud architect looking to take the step up to presales and post sales consulting. You love a challenge both technically and from a business perspective and would love the opportunity to become a technical evangelist who drives opportunities though to delivery.
