Accountabilities and main responsibilities

  • To help Trustmarque create their sales strategy around Cyber Security and help build a fully functional Cyber Security specialist sales and pre-sales function as part of Trustmarque’s broader specialist sales overlay unit.
  • To lead cyber security value discovery workshops and needs assessments and manage a team that will enable customers to deliver security deployments and transformation programmes To work closely with the account teams around Security strategy, propositions and Go to Market offerings.
  • You will have significant customer facing experience already as you will need to proactively identify opportunities, create and deliver high quality proposals to clients and convert these opportunities into sales, and provide leadership to others on doing this.
  • You will need to be able convey technical content in business language to board level.
  • To lead a portfolio of cyber engagements with our clients whilst directing and developing your team to deliver the highest quality Cyber Security solutions and services.
  • Working with prospective clients to identify opportunities and scope engagements and creating high quality proposals Advocating and championing Cyber Security service both internally to our Account managers and to our clients and the wider market.
  • Contributing to the development of a new team acting as mentor and coach to the other members of the team and leading by example Contributing to the latest thought-leadership, industry research and creation of marketing collateral relating to cyber security


  • Experience of the cyber security vendor eco-system (Microsoft, Sophos, Forcepoint, Paulo, Tenable etc)
  • Have excellent industry experience and demonstrable success leading transformation programmes and proven experience of leading cyber discussions at board level.
  • A broad background across security is expected with specific experience in one or more of the following areas essential; Security strategy, assessment, designing and implementing security strategy, governance frameworks over processes, controls, organisation and infrastructure to management cyber security.
  • Security transformation programmes – design and management of security solution implementations and / or remediation programmes to address risks
  • Breach and incident management, design and implementation of breach and major incident management practices
  • Data privacy, implementation of data protection / GDPR programmes to address confidentiality and security over customer, employee or patient data.
  • Resilience, design and implementation of programmes to improve IT Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical pre-sales capacity or similar role with experience in designing complex solutions for a range and size of customers within different verticals using
  • Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity solutions
  • Remain up to date with specialist skills and market trends
  • Experience in performing security workshops, demos and presentations to arrange of audience levels from C Level to technical.
  • Examples of delivering relevant security projects/programmes.
  • Be comfortable being responsible for scoping and significant security projects.
