Job summary

As Events and Comms Marketing Exec you will help shape Trustmarque’s events and sponsorship strategy, including trade shows, conferences, roadshows, customer briefings and webinars, and networking events – both face to face and online. You will identify the best events and sponsorship opportunities to drive our sales and marketing objectives and will manage all aspects of the events, including planning and execution. Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you will also deliver internal events and roadshows and will be responsible for the wider internal comms plan. Accountabilities and main responsibilities

You will work with various stakeholders, vendor partners and colleagues in the marketing team to shape and deliver the events and internal communications plan, including:

• Identify opportunities for events and sponsorships aligned to our business objectives to create, define and deliver the events marketing strategy including new and innovative event approaches

• Generate awareness and demand for our events by using a variety of marketing approaches and tactics, including creation of all promotional material (email, social media, sales enablement), event pages and other content on the website

• Use customer data and segmentation to improve messaging, personalisation and event performance to better attract high quality attendees to our events

• Manage acceptances, ensuring event attendees are kept warm throughout the application process and lead up to the event, as well as managing attendance on the day

• Full event project management, including management of suppliers and partners in the lead up to and on the day

• Partner with the Sales and Leadership teams on bespoke client events

• Manage the events marketing budget

• Review and optimise event marketing performance with regular reporting including key metrics on ROI

• Work with the Leadership Team to deliver the internal events and internal communications plan, including roadshows, sales briefings, Town Halls, newsletters and business updates and the roll-out of the High Achiever’s Club

• Manage the internal comms calendar, ensuring consistency in brand and tone of voice and analysing engagement across departments • Look for innovative ways to share our internal communications to improve engagement • Ensure access to information for all colleagues by maintaining internal comms platforms such as SharePoint.

Essential Skills
• Strong people and interpersonal skills

• Strong project management skills

• Experience in events marketing including planning and management of face-to-face and online events

• Solid understanding of marketing principles

• Strong copywriting, proofreading, written and personal communications skills

• Familiarity with internal comms best practice

• Ability to work successfully as part of a team or independently

• Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

• Ability to prioritise work under pressure and complete within deadlines

• Experience in multi-channel marketing including strong digital experience (email, social media and web)

• Experience with SharePoint, Outlook, PPT and Microsoft Teams essential

• Degree level education or equivalent
