Job summary

The Head of Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) is responsible for providing detailed reporting on the financial performance of the company with accompanying analysis. The role also encompasses all aspects of financial planning, including cashflow and financial business planning. Leading the financial reporting pack and keeping the business aligned to the regular reporting and business planning cycles, this role is integral to the company’s financial reporting, planning and analysis.

Accountabilities and main responsibilities

  • Producing monthly financial statements for the board reports (including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and ad hoc analysis as required)
  • Detailed analysis of the results against business plan and prior periods
  • Internal reporting with senior stakeholders
  • External reporting to debt holders
  • Co-ordinate business planning cycles with finance and business leads
  • Producing business plan packs and analysis for review (P&L, WC, Capex, etc)

  • Use of Excel/Power BI or the equivalent in order to produce financial information packs
  • Confident and unafraid to ask challenging questions
  • Worked in a PE business previously
