Job summary

This is a great opportunity to join our Professional Services Software Services team within Trustmarque, which are responsible for delivering Asset Management Services and projects to external clients. The team is composed of technical specialists, consultants and solutions architects that together manage the client relationship, support business growth, manage client’s data, produce reports and work with pre-sales to evaluate proposals, risks or opportunities.

You will be leading in the implementation and maintenance of information, including status, for technology-based hardware and software assets.

We are seeking experienced Consultants that possess the ability to develop client relationships to assist in driving Services Sales in addition to their project roles.

Good project management skills are required, and be able to assist in delivering successful projects, either by a team or on your own.  You must have the technical skills and knowledge to understand their clients’ requirements and to develop effective solutions, alongside being able to make the best use of the entire company’s knowledge base and resources. You may be required to engage with several project teams simultaneously and to apply their knowledge and expertise to clients with similar requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • For larger engagements – work in tandem with sales or other senior staff to understand customer requirements to help develop solutions/services
  • For ongoing serviced accounts – deliver the service as defined as well as evaluation for continual improvement, advising sales of any further opportunities; these engagements also require some project management by the Consultant
  • For standalone projects – work with project managers, fully understand deliverables
  • Create documentation, workbooks, reports, and presentations to support their work
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure project and service delivery meet customer expectations
  • Provide presales consultancy to support sales in winning new business opportunities
  • Review Statement of Work documentation drafted by the presales and delivery teams
  • Support Sales and Marketing, ensuring key messages are heard internally and externally
  • Assist in development and improvement of service offerings and messaging to customers, including input into product development and marketing campaigns
  • Understand the position of the Software Services team within Trustmarque and support the Software Services Delivery Manager in helping to evaluate any new ideas that may benefit the team

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong IT Asset Management background, specifically software (SAM)
  • Knowledge and experience of using Snow’s asset management software
  • Knowledge of software licensing approaches for multiple vendors, including Microsoft
  • High competency in the usage of Microsoft products Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience of evaluating Effective Licensing Positions (ELPs) for EUC and datacentres
  • Understanding of managing Software-as-a-Service subscriptions (particularly Microsoft 365) including identifying user requirements and comparing license functionality
  • Experience of managing projects using recognised methodologies
  • Strong commitment to, and understanding of, customer managed services
  • Experience of evaluating commercial licensing models, including licensing agreement and functionality comparisons
  • Knowledge and experience of using other asset management software
  • Knowledge of software licensing approaches for a broad number of vendors
  • Knowledge and experience of configuration and service management
  • Proven consultancy experience within a similar role
  • Demonstrable competence in oral and written communication
  • Proven ability to lead an engagement, workshop or present to an ITAM and management audience
  • Able to deal with customers/suppliers/peers at all levels in a professional manner
  • The ability to prioritise effectively, both with own workload and within a team
  • The ability to use initiative to solve problems
