Secure virtual infrastructure in Azure for UK Central Government

A large central government department were in the process of a huge digital transformation project, which consists of in-sourcing their outsourced IT contract. This contract accounted for 84% of department’s annual multi-million annual IT budget.
As significant element of that project consists of building secure virtual datacentres both in Amazon and Microsoft Azure which will be used as the fundamental building block to underpin the migration of on-premise IT systems onto the cloud.
Solution
Trustmarque’s consultants were introduced to the customer by Microsoft as the only Azure Infrastructure specialists who have the first-hand experience of designing and deploying secure virtual infrastructure in Azure.
Trustmarque validated and refined the designs, developed the deployment techniques and trained the customer’s personnel how to adopt and exploit Microsoft’s best practice methodologies to ensure everything is created in a consistent manner and doesn’t require subsequent re-engineering due to poor planning or design.
The customer is a large UK Central Government department. Due to the sensitive nature of their business, we are unable to provide their name.
