Office 365 assessment and strategy for a national transport association
The customer had previously deployed SharePoint Online within Office365 but needed support to optimise its role in the business to get the most out of their investment. Ultimately, they wanted to better understand the current adoption challenges, gain clear recommendations from an expert partner and develop a robust strategy for Office365.
Through effective user feedback and improved adoption, they wanted Office365 to help drive productivity and team collaboration in the business.
Trustmarque proposed an Office365 Assessment and Strategy, to assess the capabilities of the platform and the value this technology could bring to the organisation in order to support their business objectives.
In order to first understand the customer’s needs, the project was initiated with a Customer Immersion Experience (CIE) session. This included delving into the customer challenges and objectives and enabled Trustmarque to provide some insights as to how Office365 might address these and empower a more mobile, productive and collaborative workforce.
Trustmarque went on to undertake a series of workshops with business stakeholders to define a high-level scope and requirements for team collaboration with Office365 and the capabilities within the latest version of SharePoint, Yammer and Skype to deliver a user collaboration solution.
Trustmarque’s bespoke assessment report identified the most suitable deployment and migration plan over the next 12 to 18 months. We were also able to provide the customer with a full understanding of the benefits, value and ultimately the costs of implementing Office365. The strategy set out clear recommendations about how they could use Office365 to increase collaboration and productivity while offering secure mobile and remote working to all users.
The main output was to deliver a comprehensive strategy to support the business case for further development of Microsoft Cloud services.
