Regulation in the Cloud
An overview of how UK regulations affect Cloud adoption including: Data Protection Act, FCA outsourcing, PCI DSS. Frank will provide you with a snapshot of how surveillance affects Cloud use, including the USA Patriot Act, NSA’s Prism programme, UK Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act and whether a European Cloud would help.
Managing Cloud risks through contract
The key risks and concerns which customers have regarding their Cloud provider: “As is” service, SLA promises that aren’t kept, no promise that the provider won’t lose data, no compensation when the provider loses data, service credits as sole remedy for provider breaches, pay increases, changing terms at will, vague migration assistance, provider insolvency.
“We are delighted to be joining forces with Frank Jennings to clarify regulatory complexities around Cloud adoption.”
