In this session, Trustmarque will help you understand the contractual timeline for your Microsoft Enterprise Agreement expiring between 1st July 2017 and 30th April 2018. We will outline our recommended approach to ensure a timely and optimised renewal.
From PSA to CTA
In 2015, the Public Sector Agreement (PSA) Memorandum of Understanding between Microsoft and Crown Commercial Services was replaced by the Cloud Transformation Arrangement (CTA).
As part of this arrangement, any customers utilising the PSA12 contract will now have access to the CTA pricing structure for one renewal only. This structure comes to an end of 30th June 2017, and as such, any customers with agreements expiring between 1st July 2017 and 30th April 2018 will be required to commit to a renewal prior to 30th June 2017.
By renewing early and taking advantage of the CTA pricing structure, customers may avoid significant cost increases and ensure any licensing agreement reflects the needs of the organisation.
Example cost avoidance
As an illustration, a customer with an EA expiring on 31st December 2017, with Office, Windows, and Core CAL for 2,000 users and devices could potentially avoid an increase of over £200,000 a year*.
