Acutest celebrates twenty years of IT testing and quality assurance

9 June 2022 Time to read:  minutes

Marking twenty years of mastery in IT testing and quality assurance, Acutest, a leading UK consultancy, is celebrating throughout 2022 with a series of events and online content.

Since its launch in 2002, Acutest has grown as a market-leading consultancy, specialising in testing and assurance of software, business processes, and IT transformation. In April 2021, Acutest joined Trustmarque, adding to their unrivaled strengths across the IT lifecycle as a solid digital transformation partner.

Reflecting on the 20-year milestone, Tom Norris, Founder, and Director of Acutest comments:

“When we started Acutest in 2002, we were on a mission to help our customers deliver working products and services more quickly, at lower cost and under informed control. We did this by helping them focus on what they do best while we supported the assurance and testing. We have achieved our goals and more, thanks to our colleagues, who have the sharpest minds in the business. In the process of delivering thousands of projects, we have developed tools and techniques for managing risk and getting services live. Over the years, we have created a fantastic capability for solving problems that our customers think are impossible.”

Then and now

From the early days in an office in Guildhall Yard, London, Acutest has been a tight-knit and enthusiastic team, passionate about removing the barriers to technology-enabled change.

We continue to value our employees and encourage collaboration and professional development, with regular social events. Recently we published our employee satisfaction results for 2021 where an overwhelming 94% of Acutest employees felt they belonged within the Acutest family, 26% above the UK national average.

Over the next few months, we will be sharing memories and stories from across the Acutest family, so please follow the conversation on LinkedIn via @Acutest and #Acutest20.

Andrew Lazenby, Director of Consulting at Acutest, comments:

“The last twenty years have given us something to celebrate; we’ve supported the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games facilitate their IT infrastructure platforms, we’ve migrated over 200,000 users across multiple countries at the Ministry of Defence over to MS 365, and we’ve ensured iPlayer worked seamlessly on iPad at the BBC. We’ve seen a lot of changes in our industry over the years, but we’ve adapted and developed the Acutest approach along the way and it has stood the test of time.”

The future

Today, we are trusted by organisations across the UK and Europe. Our customers represent most of the key sectors and come from every size of business, from start-ups through to blue-chip multinational organisations. Acutest’s capabilities include a full range of testing and assurance services including: technical, non-functional and automated assurance; testing management and outsourced services; as well as specialist testing like cloud-based assurance or Project Rescue. Project Rescue is a popular service designed to get critical projects back on track when they may be falling at the last hurdle – ensuring tight delivery timescales and budgets are met.

Wez Worland, Chief Operating Officer at Trustmarque adds:

“We are proud of the way our Acutest colleagues continue to innovate to help our customers deliver reliable services. Their approach to automation and reporting is exceptional, dramatically reducing the elapsed time spent testing and improving programme governance. Their unwavering commitment to deliver on their promises is crucial to their success.”
