We are proud to announce that Chloe Craughan, Trustmarque’s Head of Marketing, has been shortlisted for not one, but two CRN Women in Channel Awards.

Chloe has been shortlisted for the category Marketing Employee of the Year (Reseller/Solution Provider) alongside 10 other marketeers who will all be hoping to take home the prize when the winners are announced this October. Chloe is also a finalist in the inspirational category of Role Model of the Year. Well done, Chloe!

We caught up with her to hear how she felt hearing the news: “I was just amazed to be honest – I still scratch my head at the idea that I’m a finalist for a role model category. I am honoured as well because I have a lot of respect for the people that are on the judging panel.”

Marketing Employee of the Year (Reseller/Solution Provider)

Lamenting on how the pandemic impacted marketing at Trustmarque, Chloe says: “We sadly had to make budget cuts very early on, I immediately lost a contractor, had to cut short contracts with my suppliers and lost a large chunk of my budget.”

But Chloe’s true grit and marketing know-how continued to propel the team forward even in the toughest of times: “I am nothing if not agile, and I was amazed at what my team and I were still able to achieve. We had to become video content creators, editors, and even graphic designers. We managed 186 email sends across 50 campaigns, launched 10 new services and solutions, and managed to fulfil our events schedule including Connect IT event (annual showcase event). I think it proves that if you have the right team and the right people anything is possible.”

Role Model of the Year

Chloe has been one of the driving forces behind Trustmarque’s Work + Wellbeing sessions, a virtual forum launched during the pandemic for colleagues to relax and reconnect with each other.  Chloe’s work in this area is the reason she has been recognised in CRN’s Role Model category: “I trained as a Mental Health First Aider in 2019  and during the pandemic, we thought we could do more by rebranding ourselves as Work + Wellbeing Champions. Our aim was to provide an outlet on a fortnightly basis for people across the organisation to come together and take part in an activity or even just talk. We’ve held virtual HIIT workouts, yoga, bingo, quiz days, Tai chi and bake-offs. Some of these sessions were attended by over 100 colleagues, and became a social outlet for many, and a godsend for new starters”.

Chloe has also taken one for the team and learnt the traditional bingo hall numbers and catchphrases to make our bingo sessions even more enjoyable. This collaboration extends to how Chloe gets all teams working in partnership to deliver our customer promises.

Good luck Chloe, from everyone at Trustmarque!
