Microsoft announced last week that they will be making a series of changes across their program and product portfolio. These price adjustments to a range of agreements and products will take effect from the 1st October.
The communications from Microsoft state:
“Microsoft will be making a series of changes across our program and product portfolio to provide unique offers that support customer digital transformation, improve the buying and selling experience, and make it easier to do business with Microsoft. We continue to execute on our Modern Commerce strategy by introducing programmatic changes across our VL programs that relate specifically to offer pricing and discounting.”
The price changes will affect both on-premise and cloud products but will support Microsoft’s strategy of a cloud first world.
In addition to product specific price changes Microsoft have announced several programmatic changes, which include alignment of government pricing to the lowest available commercial price.
