We are happy to announce that Trustmarque has been shortlisted for a CRN Sales and Marketing Award 2019. The Government Sales Team has been nominated for ‘Best Sales Team’ and will go head to head with just two other current contenders at the prestigious annual awards ceremony on 4 July at the Montcalm in Marble Arch, London.
The nomination comes following a highly successful end to the 2018 Financial Year, which saw the team collaborate with 66 brand new customers while at the same time helping their current customers to save an impressive £23m in spending.
Government Sales Team at a Glance
The 18-strong Government Sales Team is based across the UK and made up of 45% women, against an industry average of just 17% for the tech sector. The team has experience levels ranging from graduates to experts with over 20 years’ in the field.
Ben Drury, Local and Regional Government Sales Manager, said the breadth and depth of the team is one of its key strengths.
“We encourage diversity, so every team member can respond effectively to our customer and prospect requirements, and call on each other for more specialist expertise, support and knowledge as and when they need it,” he commented.
“The speed and accuracy of responses are second to none allowing us to move quickly and efficiently through projects. I’d thoroughly recommend Trustmarque and specifically the Government Team that support us to anyone.”
A ‘second to none’ customer first approach
Ben said the team has a customer-centric approach and that they are driven by a shared goal to help customers reap the benefits of digital transformation. “We believe if we put our customers interests first then sales follow naturally,” he added.
One of the team’s valued regional Government customers – London Borough of Redbridge – is happy to endorse this philosophy, praising the team for being “second to none”.
Simon Peakall, Infrastructure Manager IT, confirms: “Since the beginning of our latest Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA), the Trustmarque Government team has proven to be invaluable to manage our EA. From the top to the bottom, the whole team can answer licensing questions and advise on the best time to switch from one method of licensing to another to save money and to meet the large changes we have been going through technically over the last two and a half years.
“The speed and accuracy of responses are second to none allowing us to move quickly and efficiently through projects. I’d thoroughly recommend Trustmarque and specifically the Government Team that support us to anyone.”
Skills, collaboration and the thirst for success
The team holds a wide range of skills in licensing, professional and managed services and hardware and has a range of industry-recognised accreditations. They are committed to continually developing their skills in order to meet the current and future needs of all Government customers.
“Out of the 18 staff members, 14 became Microsoft Certified Professional (MCPs) last year and five team members graduated from the Microsoft Challenger Sales School. We now boast a Certified Sophos Sales Consultant and several team members have passed partner exams to hold Veritas VSE/VSE+, Citrix CCSP and VMware VSP qualifications,” reveals Ben.
Ben added that the nomination for the CRN Sales and Marketing Award is testament to not only the hard work and technical expertise of his team but also to the shared culture of collaboration and success they have built.
Kelly Roddy, who joined Trustmarque 6 months ago as a Client Director, supports this view, describing her induction into “one of the most welcoming and supportive teams I’ve ever worked with”.
“Everyone strives to over achieve as individuals but they also want their team members to be successful too, which creates a highly collaborative atmosphere,” she commented.
UK Cloud Awards
The nomination for the CRN Sales and Marketing Award comes just days after it was announced that Trustmarque’s James Moran has been nominated for Best Newcomer at the UK Cloud Awards. You can read all about it in our recent blog here.
Don’t forget Trustmarque is at the CRN Fight Night
