Tell me about your background and why you joined Trustmarque?
I previously worked at Three as an assistant manager and at BT as a telecoms engineer. I chose to join Trustmarque for two main reasons. The first being the reputation Trustmarque hold and being exposed to so many opportunities to work with some of the best IT professionals in the industry alongside working with some of the biggest companies in the world such as Microsoft and Dell. The second is being given the opportunity to be the first person on a long-term project building a new business SDR team for the whole business.
Tell me about your current role?
I’m a sales development representative in a new project set out by Trustmarque. I’m responsible for reaching out to existing customers and new customers and building relationships with them to support them alongside their IT projects, I essentially am the middle man between companies and Trustmarque.
What other trends are you seeing in the sector/with customers?
Common trend I’m finding with customers are that they are aware of the work Trustmarque provide. I’ve never heard of a bad experience a customer had with Trustmarque in the past and they especially like the approach we take which is more so consultative and solutions based.
What are your ambitions and where do you see yourself next?
Ideally, I would love to move up in the business towards a Sales Director role or Director of Learning and Development. Main reason being is I enjoy helping people grow and learn as well as managing a team. I would love to be a part of that in the future but for the wider business.
What more would you say about the culture at Trustmarque?
Support is offered from every single person. They are understanding and look to take care of their people in every way possible. The diversity in my team is great and everyone feels comfortable at work and happy to express themselves.
