How we have supported health and social care in the UK
We have provided solutions to eliminate data loss, help protect against ransomware and assure the availability of healthcare information for over twenty NHS Trusts. Clinicians depend on information delivered by clinical applications. Assuring the availability of those applications is essential to maintaining quality of care and patient satisfaction.
We have provided virtualisation and software-defined datacentre solutions with VMware to over forty NHS Trusts, helping healthcare leaders accelerate digital transformation by making the most of data and modern, multi-cloud infrastructures.
Recently we have completed a project to transform the datacentre operations of a large district general hospital. Like many Trusts we work with, they were suffering slow service levels with critical applications that serve the frontline healthcare workers, leading to a decrease in patient care and an increase in cognitive dissonance for healthcare staff due to slower system response times. They were also suffering from increased maintenance and support costs, investing into a legacy, slow and inefficient environment.
Working with key stakeholders, together we designed a resilient, software-defined datacentre solution which provided the foundations to support the Trust’s vision for a future move into hybrid-cloud while simultaneously improving the quality and delivery of care.

The UK has long been a world-leader for innovation in life sciences. For over 30-years we have been helping life science and medical research institutes store, protect and manage their critical research data.
For example, we have provided large scale data storage and data management repositories to ground-breaking institutes and numerous medical research councils, all world leaders and whose work plays a critical part in the NHS and Public Health England (PHE) to improve accuracy and reach data-driven decisions faster.
