Red Hat Enterprise Linux-6 End of Maintenance support ENDS November 2020. Are you prepared to migrate to a supported version of RHEL?

What will happen to my Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 systems on 30 November 2020?

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)  6 systems will continue to be subscribed to RHEL 6 channels via Subscription Manager, continue to require a RHEL entitlement, and continue to have access to:

  • Limited technical support for existing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 deployments (for customers with Premium or Standard support only).
  • Previously released bug fixes (RHBAs), security errata (RHSAs), and product enhancements (RHEAs) via Subscription Manager.

However, software maintenance, new bug fixes, security patches or product enhancements will not be provided for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 product family, although you can buy extended lifecycle support.

Please also note that new bug fix, security, advisories (RHBAs, RHSAs, and RHEAs) will no longer be provided for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Cluster Suite and Global File System Add-Ons after 30 November 2020.

Trustmarque can help you prepare a plan to migrate your services from RHEL 6 to a current supported version of RHEL.

How it works

Red Hat Enterprise Linux is the result of a collaborative development process that begins in open source communities. They work alongside community members, customers, and even competitors in thousands of upstream projects before integrating the best features and bug fixes into the Fedora Linux distribution.
